About Us

The Rarotonga International Airport, owned and operated by the Airport Authority Cook Islands (AACI), is the gateway to a world of adventure. Since its opening by Queen Elizabeth II on January 29, 1974, AACI has been dedicated to creating an airport experience that embodies the spirit of the Cook Islands.

As the nation’s main transport hub, AACI is committed to enhancing every aspect of the airport, ensuring it remains a source of pride for all Cook Islanders. Our goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment for travelers, while also fostering strong partnerships with airlines and businesses.

With ongoing upgrades to customer facilities, we stay fully aligned with international regulations, ensuring seamless travel experiences for all. Through these efforts, we aim to increase passenger traffic, encourage more flights, and support the ongoing growth and prosperity of the Cook Islands.
