Rarotonga International Airport operates 24 hours for scheduled flights, while Aitutaki Airport is open during regular domestic flight hours.
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available in selected public areas. Look for the network name “Vodafone Hotspot” and follow the prompts.
You will need to ask Airport Security, the office where you will find the baggage lockers or email info@cookislandsairport.com with a description of the lost item.
The Cook Islands would love to welcome you into our paradise! However, you will need to apply for an exemption and email immigration.exemptions@cookislands.gov.ck
If you are of Cook Islands decent, you can also apply for the Cook Islands status.
Items like sharp objects, flammable liquids, and large containers of liquids, aerosols, gels (over 100ml) are not allowed. Powders over 300ml. For a full list, please refer to your airline.
Report it immediately to your airline’s baggage service counter which will be located in the arrivals area. After which you have reported it, follow ups will be made by your airline not the Airport Authority.
All passengers are required to go through security screening before boarding. This includes scanning of carry-on baggage and a walk-through metal detector. Please remove laptops from your bag, and place all items in the provided trays for screening.
Yes, baggage trolleys are available free of charge in the arrivals and departures areas at Rarotonga International Airport. Please return them to the designated trolley bays after use.
Yes, there is limited public parking at Rarotonga International Airport. It is pay on the day, no pre-booking required.
Taxis, shuttles, and rental cars are available. We also have a pick-up/drop-off area just outside the terminal.
Yes, taxis are generally available during all scheduled international arrivals.
You can book a taxi by contacting local providers directly or through your hotel/accommodation. Some hotels also offer airport transfer services.
You can check live arrivals and departures on your airlines website or alternatively a flight tracker app.

Yes, an ATM is available in the arrivals area outside. We do not have currency exchange services within the airport.
